The Table part is a container part. It doesn’t specifically ask the students any questions. It provides a layout for problem parts in a table structure.
You can specify whether you want your table structured by a selected number of rows or a selected number columns. With a row-based structure, problem parts are displayed left-to-right with a fixed number of columns. If the number of parts exceeds the number of columns, new rows will be created as needed. With a column-based structure, parts are displayed top-to bottom with a fixed number of rows. If the number of parts exceeds the number of rows, new columns will be created as needed.
To render problem parts within a table layout:
- Go to the problem.
- Add any parts that you want to add to the table first.
- Select Add part and then select Table.
- Drag and drop the child parts into the table part and re-order as needed using the Drag handle.
- Select Open part editor to edit the table settings as needed. The table layout and number of columns determine how child parts are laid out within the table.
- (optional) Specify a table header, column headers, and/or row headers.
