Enabling two-factor authentication for your account

What is two-factor authentication (2FA)?

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a security feature that adds an extra layer of protection to your account. In addition to your password (something you know), it requires a second form of verification — typically a code from your phone (something you have in your possession). This significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access, even if your password is compromised.

Enabling two-factor authentication (2FA)

1. Select Account from the right user menu to open Account Settings, and look in the Two-factor authentication section.
2. Scan the QR code shown in your 2FA authenticator app. Use an app like Google Authenticator, Authy, or Microsoft Authenticator.
3. Input the code visible for Edfinity and select Enable 2FA.
4. The next time you log in, 2FA will be enabled, and you'll need to use your authenticator app as a second form of authentication.

Disabling two-factor authentication (2FA)

1. Select Account from the right user menu to open Account Settings, and look in the Two-factor authentication section.
2. Select Remove 2FA. A dialog will appear.
3. Select Remove 2FA again to confirm your decision.
