What is two-factor authentication (2FA)?
Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a security feature that adds an extra layer of protection to your account. In addition to your password (something you know), it requires a second form of verification — typically a code from your phone (something you have in your possession). This significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access, even if your password is compromised.
Enabling two-factor authentication (2FA)
- Select Account from the right user menu to open Account Settings, and look in the Two-factor authentication section.
- Scan the QR code shown in your 2FA authenticator app. Use an app like Google Authenticator, Authy, or Microsoft Authenticator.
- Input the code visible for Edfinity and select Enable 2FA.
- The next time you log in, 2FA will be enabled, and you'll need to use your authenticator app as a second form of authentication.
Disabling two-factor authentication (2FA)
- Select Account from the right user menu to open Account Settings, and look in the Two-factor authentication section.
- Select Remove 2FA. A dialog will appear.
- Select Remove 2FA again to confirm your decision.
