A coordinated course contains a template or "coordinator" section that is used to manage the course across multiple child or "member" sections.
- Member sections can be created and shared with different instructors, streamlining the process of managing a coordinated course with a large teaching staff. See Creating and sharing a member section in a coordinated course.
- Changes made to course content (assignments and assignment items) in the coordinator section can be published, which propagates the changes to all member sections. See Managing assignment content in a coordinated course.
- Each member section has its own student roster, and the instructor can override a number of assignment settings, including availability. See (video) Managing a member section of a coordinated course as an instructor.
- Students can be easily transferred between sections with their work and grades intact.
