Edfinity allows you to easily share your section with any colleagues or collaborators, including teaching assistants (TAs) and tutors.
To share your course with others, go to the course and select the Sharing tab.
Adding a course collaborator
To share your course with a collaborator, enter the email addresses of the educator with whom you want to share your course. In addition, specify the level of access (view or edit) to your course.
Access level | Course access |
---|---|
View |
Use view-level access if you want collaborators to be able to access your course material without being able to see your students.
|
TA |
Use TA-level access if you want a teaching assignment to be able to view and manage student work without being able to modify course materials.
|
Edit |
Use edit-level access if you want to collaborate on course construction or if you have want someone to be able to help you with day-to-day course management (e.g. a TA).
|
Repeat the above steps for each collaborator. Select Share course to invite collaborators to your course. They will receive an email and be asked to sign up for an Edfinity account if they do not already have one. They will see the course in their account under My Courses.
Sharing your course with a teaching assistant (TA) or tutor
To share your course with a TA or tutor:
- Follow the steps above to add them as a course collaborator.
- If you want them to be able to see student activity and help them with their work, be sure to specify "ta" access.
- They will receive an invitation email. Let them know that, when prompted, they should sign up as a student, not an educator. After sharing your course, they will automatically be given collaborative access to your course.

To change the access level a collaborator has to your course:
- Go to your course and select the Sharing tab.
- Change the access as desired.
Removing a course collaborator
