Follow these steps to create new editions of your Canvas courses without having to re-send and manually move Edfinity assignments into the correct assignment group and module.
Before you begin
These instructions do not apply if you are using multi-section Canvas courses.
Step 1: Copy the coordinator in Edfinity
- Open the original coordinated course in Edfinity.
- In the Settings > Details section, click the Copy this Course button. Complete the dialog that appears.
- In the Settings > Member Sections, create the required member sections for the new course, sharing with educators as needed.
- Make sure all your assignments are published so that they are visible to the member sections.
Step 2: Connect the Copies
- In Canvas, copy an existing course that was previously linked to Edfinity assignments.
- Choose the Edfinity sidebar link in the copied course.
- When prompted, select one of your new member sections.
- Verify that the correct Edfinity assignments are listed as being updated.
- Click Connect to Course.
- Repeat these steps for each Canvas course and member section. You may copy and reuse a Canvas course multiple times.
