You can override your default Environment tolerance setting for an individual question by following the steps below:
- Select the problem on your assignment page and then select Edit Problem.
- On the edit problem page, select the Settings tab and scroll down to Environment Overrides.
- Type in your desired numerical tolerance for the problem.
- Go back to the the assignment page and select Publish Changes in the top right to save your changes and update/rescore student assignments.
Important note for WeBWorK problems:
You can specify the tolerance in the WeBWorK code for a problem. If the tolerance is defined in the WeBWorK problem code, that tolerance will apply and will override the Edfinity settings for that assignment/problem. Instructions on setting tolerance in WeBWorK problems can be found here.
