In order to allow students to answer questions requiring answers involving complex mathematical expressions in Edfinity, a graphical equation editor is enabled by default. This setting is configurable.
To enable or disable the equation editor for all problems in an assignment:
- Go to the assignment and select the Settings > Mode and Submissions tab.
- Enable or disable the Use equation editor as desired.
- Publish your changes.
To enable or disable the equation editor for a single problem part:
- Go to the problem.
- Select the WeBWorK part to edit it.
- Set Use equation editor to "Yes", "No", or "Use environment value" (default).
Our equation editor does not work well with voice readers. To accessibility reasons, a student can elect to disable the equation editor in their courses as follows:
- Go the user menu (top right) and select Account.
- Select the Accessibility tab.
- Deselect Enable equation editor.
