Requiring a student to show their work when answering a problem

Some problem parts support requiring the student to show their work:

• Either/Or
• Multiple answer
• Multiple choice 
• Select point
• Short answer

To require a student to show their work when answering a problem:

1. Go to the problem.
2. If necessary, select Open part editor to edit the part.
3. Select the Require student to show work button. This will add a Show Work part to the problem.
4. Configure the Show work part as needed by specifying a label, points given, and whether to automatically give credit for any answer or to require manual grading first.

To remove a Show work part from a problem:

1. Go to the problem.
2. Select Delete part in the part row.
