**What is ALICE? **

ALICE is Edfinity’s generative AI model that has been trained to write algorithmic (randomized) WeBWorK problems.

**What is ALICE trained to do today? **

**Input**: Simple text (natural language) describing a math problem you want to be written.

**Output**: WeBWorK source code for a randomized problem with hints and a detailed solution.

Note: see the examples below.

**What more can we expect of ALICE (by Spring 2024)?**

**Input**: A picture of a math problem you want to be written.

**Output**: WeBWorK source code for a randomized problem with hints and a detailed solution.

**What does this mean for educators?**

- Authoring randomized problems will be a
**no-code effort**requiring**no technical skills** - Educators will have an
**unlimited supply**of high-quality algorithmic problems - Migration from any other platform to Edfinity will only take
**minutes to hours**

**When will ALICE be available to educators?**

We anticipate early access for interested educators by Fall 2023.
